Summary

The Fred C. Church accounting team is growing!  We’re looking for a versatile team player to support key functions.  This is a great way to get a broad exposure to our business and learn the ins and outs of a busy operational unit.  

This is a part-time temporary role, with a desired schedule of 11:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.  Monday is a required work day, otherwise flexibility on start time and days per week can be considered.  The role is expected to last approximately six (6) months.

 Essential Job Functions:

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scan daily mail addressed to the accounting team
  • Prepare daily deposit of accounts receivable and other cash receipts.
  • Scan checks to bank.
  • Process vendor payables using Microsoft Great Plains.
  • Analyze expense accounts using Microsoft Excel.
  • Print checks
  • Inform clients of new banking instructions
  • Other duties or projects requested

Skills and Abilities

  • Attention to detail and solid organization skills are critical to this role.

  • Analytical, conscientious, flexible, problem solver.
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with other staff, insurance carriers and clients.
  • Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures and rules contained in the Employee Handbook

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • College-level Accounting coursework or equivalent work experience
  • Time spent working in a professional office setting preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for up to three hours at a time;
  • Walking;
  • Lifting and carrying a minimum of five pounds;
  • Sitting for up to four hours per day;
  • Going up and down stairs approximately two times per day;
  • Working on a computer with multiple monitors for four hours per day;
  • Speaking and listening clearly during telephone conversations.
